CONNEXTRA CELEBRATES EXTENDED
TAKE-UP OF ITS NEW ONLINE MARKETING SOFTWARE

Connextra, specialists in cutting-edge online marketing software, now have a growing number of online clients, including:
  • QXL on Teamtalk.com
  • Sports.com
  • Sportinglife.com
  • Worldres on Whatsonwhen.com
  • Musica.co.uk on Dooyoo.co.uk
  • Oddschecker.com
  • In production for eight other clients

ActiveAd is Connextra's response to a strong demand among brand owners and their agencies for improved effectiveness of their online promotions.

At a time when online advertising is becoming increasingly obtrusive, ActiveAd offers advertisers a radically different approach to communicating with consumers, namely using technology to make ads more intelligent.

Major players such as QXL have adopted the technology because it revolutionises their online ads by automatically filling them with directly relevant products to the editorial copy being read by consumers.

Visitors to Teamtalk for example are offered football memorabilia from QXL for the teams they are reading about - and with up to 5 different items displayed for each team, the automatic ad service is regularly producing over 30,000 ads per day, just on this site.

Visitors to Whatsonwhen.com, meanwhile, reading about an event in Amsterdam will see an ad automatically offering them direct links to individual hotels in the city.

There has been a consensus for some time within the online marketing industry that matching ads to the reader's interests stimulates online purchases, but it usually involves too much manual work to be cost effective. Now, with the launch of ActiveAd, it is possible to automatically sew products and content together, wherever your ads and affiliate buttons run, and the machine does it P24/7/365.

Similar applications powered by Connextra for ISPs and intranets have shown average users to be many times more likely to click through when offered links that are directly relevant to content they are viewing.

David King Lassman, CEO of Connextra, commented:
"Every banner ad is a wasted opportunity, while consumers simply don't appreciate garish pop-ups. It's time to make ads useful, not annoying. We believe that what people really want is rapid access to an advertiser's products when they are viewing related content online. ActiveAd does this live on screen by using technology to use existing ad space more intelligently."
